Autoclub, we help make roads safer

Autoclub civic association
A community for all those on the move
Autoclub is a civic association that has been connecting motorists, cyclists, public transport users and those who prefer to explore the world on foot since 2011. No matter how you get around – by car, bike, scooter, public transport or on your own – we are here for you.
Our goal is to represent the interests of all road users, promote safe travel, spread awareness about sustainable mobility, and create a community where everyone feels respected.
Autoclub is not just about cars. It is about movement, responsibility and respect between all road users. We connect people who care about the safety, accessibility and quality of transport in our cities and beyond.
Our mission
Our mission is to actively contribute to improving road infrastructure in order to reduce accidents, minimize the occurrence of serious injuries and fatalities, and at the same time ensure greater consideration for all road users. We focus on protecting children, seniors, people with disabilities, and everyone who moves on the roads, whether as pedestrians, cyclists, or otherwise.
In the future, we plan to focus our efforts on improving the safety of unsecured railway crossings, which pose a significant risk to human life and health. In addition, we will address the problems of static transport in urban areas and seek solutions to improve mobility conditions for specific population groups.
We would also like to draw attention to increasing safety at urban traffic light-controlled intersections, particularly through the implementation of modern camera systems that will enable more effective monitoring and management of traffic.
Member of iRAP
We are a full, licensed member of the international association iRAP (International Road Assessment Programme).
This global association specializes in increasing the safety of road infrastructure through a uniform, scientifically based and internationally recognized road assessment methodology.
The iRAP methodology is applied in more than 100 countries around the world and represents a standardized approach to risk analysis and designing effective solutions to reduce the number of traffic accidents and their consequences.
Within the European Union, iRAP assessments and recommendations are considered one of the most objective and economically effective methods for increasing road network safety.
Their use allows you to identify risky road sections, set investment priorities, and propose measures with maximum impact on protecting the health and lives of road users.
Our membership in iRAP entitles us not only to use this methodology, but also to actively contribute to its implementation and development at both the national and international levels.
Certificates
In 2019, Autoclub concluded a strategic memorandum of cooperation with the EuroRAP (European Road Assessment Programme), which is valid until 2030.
Through this partnership, Autoclub has become an authorized representative for the use of the iRAP (International Road Assessment Programme) methodology, protocols and certificates in the Slovak Republic. iRAP is a globally recognized road infrastructure safety assessment system, used in more than 100 countries. Its goal is to reduce the number of accidents, deaths and serious injuries on the roads using data-based recommendations and standardized analyses.
Our membership in iRAP and access to iRAP tools allow us to:
-
identify risky road sections based on objective criteria,
-
to propose effective and economically sustainable solutions to improve safety,
-
provide expert advice to both the public and private sectors,
-
contribute to achieving the UN global goals in the field of road safety by 2030.
We are committed to long-term cooperation that strengthens the level of road infrastructure safety in Slovakia and supports the construction of roads with higher safety standards for all road users - drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
Together with iRAP, we actively contribute to a safer, more modern and sustainable road network.
